We will meet in Córdoba to travel to Ongamira in the north of the province. Ongamira forms an unusual and extremely attractive landscape, you can observe the contrast of the red sandstone rock with the green mountain landscape. Once there, we will begin the trek to Cerro Colchiquí (1575mts) between talks, stories and legends.
It will take about three hours to reach the summit of Cerro Colchiquí, on the way we will cross a small forest of molles, espinillos, talas and carob trees, then between coconuts and romerillos and at the end as we gain height, tall grasslands. The views are impressive. At the top of the hill, the sedimentary rock formations that occupy almost the entire view to the north and the small flowers of the herbs that grow making room among the grassland. We will have time to rest as a well-deserved reward for the effort!
We will return to the route to go to Las Cuevas de Ongamira, where access is optional but recommended. The caves are eaves that are distinguished by both their natural structure and the rich archaeology and ethnohistory of the native peoples of Córdoba that they contain. It does not take too long to explore them but it is worth doing so.
At the end we will begin the return to Córdoba to end the activity.
