Cusco is the meeting point, where we will meet on the first day for a technical talk with the guides. The next day we will move to Mollepata from where we will begin the trekking that will take us the next three days.
On the third day we will reach the highest point: The Salkantay and Umantay Pass, at more than 4650 meters of altitude. From there we can appreciate the majesty of the area: the Salkanta mountain and its glaciers.
The fourth day, from the town of Challway to lunch in La Playa is when we will notice the change from mountains to jungle.
The streams that run between the subalpine plains give way to waterfalls and rushing streams, we will cross the river several times using fortune bridges. From there a private vehicle will take us to the hydroelectric plant. From there we will continue to Aguas Calientes along the train tracks.
On the last day, we took the bus to the impressive Inca citadel of Machupicchu. We visited the squares, the sacred springs, the towers, the agricultural sectors and
urban. After the visit we will return to Aguas Calientes to take the train to Ollanta and from there a transfer by private vehicle to return to Cusco.
