After the transfer to Puente del Inca and settling into the refuge, we'll take advantage of the afternoon to do a short acclimatization trek through the area and the altitude to facilitate adaptation to the area.
Upon returning, we'll have a technical briefing about equipment and the next day's ascent.
The rest of the afternoon is free to rest and prepare for the next day.
Approximately 2 hours of activity.
We'll start the day early with a hearty breakfast. We'll then head to Villa Las Cuevas, where we'll begin our day's ascent.
The trek begins along the boulders of the Derrumbre Gorge, gaining altitude before continuing deeper into the summit to attempt the summit of the Tolosa Lookout. During the ascent, we'll have excellent views of the Matienzo Gorge, part of Aconcagua Park, and all the major mountains in the area, especially Tolosa and its glacier.
