Your journey starts now...

This introductory winter mountaineering outing is designed to train you in progression techniques, equipment knowledge, and safety principles for safely navigating your first outings on snowy terrain. On the first day, we'll take advantage of the available snow in the high-mountain area to practice snow self-arrest with a backcountry ice axe and progression techniques with crampons. After the practice, we'll take the opportunity to rest and get everything ready for the next day.
On the second day, we'll ascend to the 4,100-meter Mirador del Tolosa mountain. From its summit, we'll have unparalleled views of Tolosa Mountain, its glacier, and the 4,000-meter Quebrada de Matienzo, part of Aconcagua National Park.
Our groups are small so we can provide the optimal dedication each participant requires to make the most of the learning process during the activity.

"Thank you Sil for these days of adventures, experiences and learning." Nicolás V. - 2x4000, Winter Mountaineering.

"Since I had already gone on some ascents with Silvina in the summer, I was eager to do them in winter mode and, at the same time, learn about the use of crampons and ice axes, as well as self-arrest techniques. We talked with Silvina a while beforehand, as she advised me on what equipment might be needed and what I ultimately wouldn't, and so we fine-tuned the details of the activity. Silvina's defining characteristic is her foresight to ensure nothing is missing and nothing is left to chance; safety always comes first. For me, it was a very good experience to learn about winter mountaineering and enjoy the activity, while taking it seriously and trying to be involved in every aspect. I felt very comfortable at the place where we camped; the food was tasty and plentiful, well suited to the demands of the activity. The planning was very good, allowing us to make the most of our time, and when the weather turned bad, there was a backup plan to continue enjoying and learning about winter mountaineering. In short: highly recommended." Federico DG. - 2x4000, Winter Mountaineering.

"Excellent Service Silvi demonstrates great commitment and responsibility, important aspects for high-risk expeditions. You learn a lot and have a great time. 100% recommended by me." Celeste M. - Glacier Transit and Crevasse Rescue Workshop.
