This trekking will take you through magnificent landscapes, natural waterfalls, lagoons with crystal clear waters, wildlife, and abundant vegetation in the tropical part of this tour. This trail is an ancient Inca path that connects with the magical citadel of Machu Picchu where we will explore the sacred places.
Located less than fifty kilometers northwest of the city of Cusco in south-central Peru by the Vilcabamba mountain range, Mount Salkantay (6271 meters) has an important glacier adored by thousands of years by the natives. The name Salkantay comes from the Quechua which means "Wild Mountain". The Salkantay trail is an alternative to the traditional Inca Trail. It is an experience for those seeking more privacy and authenticity.
With spectacular views, the Trek from Salkantay to Machu Picchu offers the solitude and silent contemplation that a sacred path deserves.

Addressed to:

This trekking is ideal for people in good physical condition who wish to live a unique experience of accessing Machu Picchu along an ancestral trail with good services without technical difficulty.
