The valley of six thousand in Catamarca is the place where there is the largest population of mountains of more than 6000 and 6500 meters high.
Incahuasi comes from the Quechua, "Inka wasi" and translates as "House of the Inca", it is a stratovolcano on the Argentine-Chilean border. This high mountain expedition will take you to know one of the sacred mountains, the third highest Inca shrine in the world after the Llullaillaco volcano and Cerro Mercedario.
From its summit we will have an impressive view of its crater and the highest volcano and second summit in America: Ojos del Salado (6893m).

Meeting in Fiambalá. Transfer to the mountain Inn in Cortaderas.

After breakfast, we'll prepare to begin our trek to Cerro Coquena (4035m).
Once we reach the summit, we'll take a break and enjoy the view, weather permitting. Return to the vehicle and the lodge.

After breakfast (7 hours) we will move to Paso San Francisco.
After accomodating in a free use hut or to setting up the tents we will prepare for our objective: Cerro Falso Morocho (4484 masl).

After breakfast, we will travel by private vehicle to the base of Bertran Volcano (4650m). We will then trek to the summit of the volcano, from where we will have a breathtaking view of its crater and the surrounding volcanoes: San Francisco (6016m) and Incahuasi (6640m). We will take between 30 minutes and 1 hour (depending on weather conditions) for lunch and rest. Return to Las Grutas.
Rest, in the afternoon we will visit the "San Francisco" lagoon or the hot springs again. Free afternoon to rest.
We will start the day very early, so after a light breakfast, at 4:30 am we will travel to the base of the San Francisco Volcano (4700 m).
At 5:30 am we will begin the slow ascent towards its summit. Once there,if the weather allow us, we will take some time to rest before beginning the return to the vehicle and our base camp in Las Grutas. The approximate return time is 6:00 pm.
The group's condition will be assessed at all times because it is a long day. All decisions will be made based on the health of the participants, with their well-being as the priority.
This day, if possible, we will visit Laguna Verde in Chile. This activity is subject to access permits available at the border.

Around the lagoon, we can find hot springs. The rest of the day is free to recharge and prepare for the next day.
